Guide for buying an iPhone

The iPhone is a choice piece of tech for the savvy consumer. Especially with the new 3G version of the phone coming out. The original version brought consumers in from all over the world, setting up record lines outside Apple stores. The phone wasn't perfect, it was slow and only worked over AT&T, so you would have to switch providers or sit it out when it came to buying the device. Now, with the new 3G phone, more customers will surely be brought into the iPhone market, and you will probably enjoy the new phone's features. This is your guide for buying an iPhone. For starters, if you already have an iPhone then you have a difficult choice. The new device is better, faster, and sleeker, so it might be worth the upgrade. That said, there is a major update coming for the standard iPhone, so you will be getting an upgrade regardless. The new iPhone will only cost $200 for the unit, but you will pay an inflated monthly fee due to 3G data access costs. Now, that said, it may be worth the upgrade. If you are a new customer, then you will have an easier decision.

All you will have to think about is size and color. On the one hand, you can go with a black iPhone at either 8 gigs or 16 gigs. On the other hand, there is a white version at 16 gigs. If you are planning on using this device as your primary MP3 player and media device on the go, you probably will want the 16 gig version, the color preference is up to you, they both look great. From there it is just deciding on what kind of plan you want. The talk plans are the standard AT&T affair, however the data plan will set you back $30 a month. Last but not least, the SMS messaging plan will cost you $5. All in all the new iPhone is affordable when looking at other 3G phones, but it may not be worth it if you don't really care about having instant data access.
